Job summary

H&MV Engineering is seeking a Project Development Manager to oversee preconstruction for high voltage electrical projects. You will lead client engagement, drive strategic business development, and coordinate cross-functional teams to shape project direction before execution.

With 10+ years in HV EPC settings, you will ensure regulatory alignment, risk management, and early-stage planning. A strong leadership and negotiation track record is essential for securing contracts with major clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project development or senior PM roles within high voltage EPC sectors.
• Proven success in client relationships, strategic development, and securing large contracts.
• Strong understanding of HV infrastructure, regulatory requirements, and preconstruction strategies.
• Leadership with strategic mindset and strong business acumen.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities.
• Highly organized with ability to manage complexity and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client engagement lead during preconstruction to understand vision and requirements.
• Lead business development to identify new HV electrical EPC opportunities.
• Drive strategic direction until formal contract is secured with a strong value proposition.
• Conduct kick-off meetings with senior leadership and project teams to align objectives.
• Develop project strategies with Procurement, Estimating, and Engineering for early alignment.
• Create a high-level roadmap with milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Assemble and lead cross-functional teams, allocating resources for complexity and tech needs.
• Provide high-level leadership and ensure clear communication across levels.
• Track performance and progress to meet timelines and budget.
• Oversee preconstruction deliverables and secure formal client agreement.
• Facilitate handover to execution team and maintain client engagement through initiation.
