Job summary

Mainline Group is seeking a Technical Manager to lead high voltage framework activities, design capability, commissioning support and technical governance within the Power Division. The role reports to the MD and focuses on building capability, improving processes and sustaining growth.

You will mentor engineers, support bids and client opportunities, and drive technical excellence across framework-based programmes with a hybrid working model in place.

Qualifications

• Senior technical leadership in power/utility environments.
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV design, substations, underground cables.
• Experience supporting framework-based delivery and multi-project environments.
• Experience in commissioning, energisation, handover and technical assurance.
• Ability to support bids, tenders and business development.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical support across high voltage frameworks, including design, commissioning, and delivery.
• Support development and delivery of engineering solutions for HV/MV infrastructure projects.
• Lead design activities from concept through detailed design and handover.
• Act as senior technical contact for the Power Division and client-facing opportunities.
• Contribute to tenders, framework submissions and risk reviews.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure practical, compliant technical solutions.
