Job summary

Ethos is expanding its Energy Infrastructure capability and is seeking a Senior High Voltage Engineer specialising in HV Electrical Engineering to support the development and delivery of HV and MV infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The role focuses on the design and delivery of energy centres, substations, landing stations, interconnectors and associated HV infrastructure projects, while supporting the growth of an in-house HV engineering team within Ethos.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–15+ years of HV/MV electrical engineering experience.
• Experience delivering HV substation projects up to 400 kV.
• Experience with AIS and GIS substations and grid connection infrastructure.
• Familiarity with protection and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of HV and MV infrastructure projects, including AIS/GIS substations and grid connection infrastructure.
• Develop and review diagrams, layouts, protection philosophies, and HV cables and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
• Interface directly with clients, TSOs/DSOs/utilities, and contractors.
• Support the development of Ethos' HV engineering capability and standards.
