Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced HSSE professional to support the implementation, application and continual improvement of HSSE programmes across operational, office, project and field environments. You will apply advanced practical HSSE knowledge to manage risk, incidents and assurance activities while collaborating with colleagues to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A degree, diploma, certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Risk Management, or related.
• Minimum seven years' HSSE experience.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE legislation and risk management.
• Experience leading audits, inspections, investigations and assurance activities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and standard business systems.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and continual improvement of HSSE programmes and initiatives.
• Deliver HSSE communications and engagement activities.
• Maintain HSSE documentation, records, reporting and action-tracking systems.
• Assist hazard identification, risk assessments and the implementation of risk controls.
• Participate in inspections, audits, field assessments and assurance activities.
• Support incident investigations and learning.
• Provide HSSE guidance to operational teams and project personnel.
