Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced HSSE professional in Ireland to support the implementation and continual improvement of HSSE programmes across projects and offices. You will apply strong practical HSSE knowledge to risk management, audits and incident investigations while engaging with stakeholders and teams.

The role requires a degree in a health and safety field and at least seven years of relevant experience, with a solid grasp of HSSE legislation and competencies in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in health, safety or environmental discipline.
• 7+ years of HSSE experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE legislation, risk and incident management processes.
• Experience leading audits, inspections and assurance activities.

Responsibilities

• Support HSSE programme implementation and continual improvement across units.
• Apply approved HSSE systems, standards, procedures and processes.
• Deliver HSSE communications, awareness initiatives and engagement activities.
• Maintain HSSE documentation, records and action-tracking systems.
• Ensure operational consistency and effective HSSE application.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessments and risk controls.
• Lead or participate in inspections, audits and field assessments.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action follow-up.
• Provide guidance on HSSE requirements to teams and contractors.
• Analyse operational risks and identify improvement opportunities.
• Mentor junior personnel where appropriate.
