I'm partnering with an established and growing organisation within the Irish housing sector to appoint a Senior Housing Manager to take a key leadership role across its housing operations.

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who wants breadth.

While many larger housing organisations have moved towards increasingly specialised structures, this role offers responsibility and exposure across the full housing management remit – including tenancy management, allocations and voids, income and arrears, tenancy sustainment, resident engagement, estate management, anti-social behaviour and supported housing.

It is a substantial operational leadership position, but one that also requires someone capable of stepping above the day-to-day, thinking strategically and working across the wider organisation.

The Role

Leading through an established management structure, you will have responsibility for the delivery and ongoing development of high-quality housing services.

Your remit will include:

• Leading, coaching and developing housing managers and their teams
• Overseeing tenancy management, allocations, voids, arrears and income management
• Ensuring effective management of ASB, tenancy sustainment and resident services
• Driving service performance, standards and continuous improvement
• Using data, KPIs and resident feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensuring housing services operate within the appropriate legislative, regulatory and governance frameworks
• Building strong relationships with Local Authorities, statutory bodies, support providers and other key stakeholders
• Working collaboratively across the organisation to solve problems and improve services
• Contributing to the continued development of housing operations as the organisation grows

Who I'm Looking For

Ideally, you will already be working within an Approved Housing Body, Local Authority or the wider social housing sector, with strong knowledge of housing and tenancy management.

I'm particularly interested in speaking with people who can demonstrate:

• Strong technical knowledge of housing management
• Experience leading managers and/or sizeable housing teams
• A strong understanding of tenancy management, allocations, voids, arrears and associated housing services
• The ability to balance operational delivery with broader strategic thinking
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
• A track record of developing people and managing performance
• A practical, solution-focused approach to problems
• The judgement and confidence to operate at senior management level

Experience of sheltered or supported housing would be beneficial but is not essential.

For someone currently working within a more specialised housing function, this could be a particularly attractive next step. The breadth of the remit provides exposure across virtually every aspect of housing operations and the opportunity to build the experience required for future senior leadership roles.
