Job summary

Focus Ireland in Dublin is seeking a Service Manager for Stanhope Green to oversee three housing projects including Long Term Housing, Outlook Programme and the HSE Stepdown service, within the DRHE LTSA network.

You will lead teams, ensure compliance, supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate referrals, and report monthly. A degree in social care or CORU registration and 3 years in service management are required.

Qualifications

  • A Third Level qualification at degree level in social care or CORU registered.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in service management.
  • Extensive experience of needs assessment, support planning, case management and housing.
  • Be committed to work in partnership with parents/guardians and children.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of service planning and development.
  • Full clean drivers licence.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the framework, values and objectives of Focus Ireland under the guidance of the Line Manager.
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to teams delivering Housing Services, Tenancy and Community Sustainment Services, Women's Stepdown Services, and Stepdown Services.
  • Deliver regular supervision, performance management, and staff support, promoting training and development.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, including child protection, complaints, confidentiality, health and safety, housing and HR policies.
  • Monitor, review and update policies and procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Keep Line Manager informed of trends, legislative changes, and service developments.
  • Manage day-to-day project budgets and communicate budget requirements.
  • Coordinate referrals to services and allocate case workers to meet needs.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, data collection, and timely updating of databases by staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Participate in supervision and training; contribute to meetings.
  • Prepare monthly project reports and participate in reviews and improvements.
  • Participate in on-call service and assist with other duties as needed.

Service Manager, Stanhope Green, Dublin

Location: Dublin

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The purpose of this role is to manager 3 projects including Long Term Housing, Outlook Programme the HSE Stepdown service. The Stanhope Green community is an integral part of the DRHE's LTSA network providing wrap around support to vulnerable adults exiting homelessness, particularly those with health support needs is part of our wider hub of housing services nationally.

Long Term Housing: Provides long term homes alongside onsite wrap around support for single adults and families who have experiences homelessness.

Women's Outlook Programme: This services is a is a highly successful and unique programme in partnership with the IPS and probation services.

Stepdown Service: In partnership with the HSE the service works with adults in recovery with the goal to move people out of homelessness in addition to their specialist functions.

What you will do
  • Work within the framework, values, and objectives of Focus Ireland, under the guidance and supervision of the Line Manager.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to teams delivering Housing Services, Tenancy and Community Sustainment Services, Women's Stepdown Services, and Stepdown Services.
  • Deliver regular supervision, performance management, and staff support, while promoting ongoing training, development, and best practice.
  • Ensure compliance with all organisational policies and procedures, including child protection, complaints, confidentiality, health and safety, housing, and human resources policies.
  • Monitor, review, and update policies and procedures regularly to ensure effective and high-quality service delivery.
  • Keep the Line Manager informed of emerging trends, patterns, legislative changes, and service developments, and remain flexible to future organisational changes.
  • Manage day-to-day project budgets and regularly identify and communicate budget requirements to the Line Manager.
  • Coordinate referrals to services and allocate case workers appropriately to meet service needs.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, data collection, statistical reporting, and the timely updating of databases by all staff.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular supervision with the Line Manager, attend relevant training, and contribute to Team, Project, and Agency meetings.
  • Prepare monthly project reports, participate in project reviews and evaluations, and implement improvements arising from these processes.
  • Participate in the on-call service, monitor its effectiveness, contribute to its development, and undertake any other duties assigned by the Line Manager or Director.
What you will need
  • A Third Level qualification at degree level in the area of social care i.e. youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology, etc and/or be a CORU registered Social Care Worker
  • Minimum 3 years experience in service management
  • Extensive experience of needs assessment, support planning, case management and housing.
  • Be committed to work in partnership with parents/guardians and children.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of service planning and development.
  • Full clean drivers licence.
