Job summary

Ashgrove Renewables in Ireland seeks a Health & Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of the company's H&S function across projects and offices.

You will build the H&S Management System, policy framework and training, ensure compliance with Irish legislation, drive a proactive safety culture and report on KPIs to management.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 8 or higher in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Minimum 5 years’ H&S experience in construction.
• Experience with H&S Management Systems, policies and improvement programmes.
• Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation.
• Experience in risk management, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Leadership, communication and influencing skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Fluent English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of H&S strategy aligned with business and SEAI One Stop Shop requirements.
• Develop and maintain an H&S Management System across offices, retrofit projects and operations.
• Work with Management, retrofit operations and site teams to embed H&S into day-to-day operations.
• Develop and review Safety Statement, policies, procedures and PPPGs to stay compliant.
• Establish robust risk assessment and risk management processes across sites and projects.
• Provide expert H&S guidance to management, project managers, site teams and contractors.
• Lead proactive H&S initiatives to reduce risk and improve performance.
• Coordinate site inspections, audits and incident investigations with root cause analysis.
