Job summary

Lincoln Recruitment Specialists is seeking a General Manager / Business Unit Manager for a Dublin-based logistics and chemical operations leader. You will oversee multi-site operations across European road freight, warehousing and chemical 3PL, driving performance and growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead teams, manage budgets and P&L, set strategy, and partner with Commercial to deliver service excellence, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in Tier 1 COMAH or similar regulated chemical operations preferred.
• Senior leadership in logistics, 3PL, freight, warehousing or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-site Dublin operation across European Road Freight, Warehousing and Chemical 3PL.
• Own budgets and P&L; deliver operational performance and financial results.
• Develop and execute the operational strategy and business plan.
• Drive productivity, service, cost and profitability improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Manage and develop teams across operations, transport, HSEQ and customer service.
• Ensure collaboration between Operations and Commercial teams.
• Support new business implementations and customer requirements.
• Maintain relationships with customers, network partners and senior stakeholders.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on KPIs, risks and performance.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and operational optimisation.
