Job summary

Cpl Group is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer in Dublin. The role is hybrid, long-term contract, with a negotiable daily rate. You will build, scale, and secure end-to-end web applications spanning frontend interfaces through to server-side architecture.

Key focus areas include React/Next.js on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, API design, cloud deployment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong emphasis on performance, security, and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack or multi-stack developer in large-scale production web apps.
• Expert in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for front- and back-end development.
• Strong React and Next.js experience; Node.js on server-side.
• Proficient in modern CSS methodologies (Tailwind, CSS Modules, Styled Components).
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, Zustand) and data fetching (React Query/SWR).
• Deep knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and caching (Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python or Go is a plus; ability to propose technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React and Next.js.
• Design, develop, and maintain server-side apps and microservices with Node.js.
• Architect secure, high-performance APIs (REST or GraphQL).
• Collaborate with UI/UX to translate designs into high-quality, responsive code.
• Optimize for speed, scalability, and SEO with Next.js SSR/SSG.
• Integrate with headless CMS, third-party services, legacy systems, and internal data sources.
• Design and maintain database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) to support data-driven apps.
• Advocate front-end best practices, including accessibility and modular design.
• Lead technical grooming, estimations, and collaboration across the stack.
• Work with QA to ensure features meet acceptance criteria and quality.
