Job summary

Cpl Group is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer in Dublin. The role is hybrid, long-term contract, with a negotiable daily rate. You will build, scale, and secure end-to-end web applications spanning frontend interfaces through to server-side architecture.

Key focus areas include React/Next.js on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, API design, cloud deployment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong emphasis on performance, security, and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack or multi-stack developer in large-scale production web apps.
• Expert in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for front- and back-end development.
• Strong React and Next.js experience; Node.js on server-side.
• Proficient in modern CSS methodologies (Tailwind, CSS Modules, Styled Components).
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, Zustand) and data fetching (React Query/SWR).
• Deep knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and caching (Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python or Go is a plus; ability to propose technical solutions.

Semi state body within Aviation is looking to hire a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer. This role will be pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end web applications that power a digital ecosystem — from user-facing interfaces through to server-side architecture and integration layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using React and Next.js.
• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and microservices using Node.js.
• Architect and manage secure, high-performance APIs (REST or GraphQL) for web and mobile consumption.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and visual designs into high-quality, responsive code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO, leveraging Next.js features (SSR/SSG).
• Integrate applications with headless CMS platforms, third-party suppliers, legacy systems, and internal data sources.
• Design and maintain database schemas (SQL or NoSQL) to support data-driven applications.
• Advocate for front-end best practices, including accessibility (WCAG), modular component design, and state management.
• Perform root cause analysis of technical issues and ensure the stability and security of the production environment.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure alignment with data governance, security protocols, and cloud infrastructure standards.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical grooming — providing effort estimations, feasibility insights, and technical leadership across the stack.
• Work closely with QA teams to ensure features are thoroughly tested and meet acceptance criteria.
• Support the Programme Manager by identifying technical risks and dependencies, and providing transparency on technical progress.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Full-Stack or multi-stack Developer working on large-scale, production-grade web applications in complex technical environments.
• Expert proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript across both client and server.
• Strong expertise in React and Next.js for front-end development, and Node.js for server-side development.
• Strong understanding of modern CSS methodologies (e.g., Tailwind, CSS Modules, or Styled Components).
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API, or Zustand) and data fetching (React Query/SWR).
• Deep understanding of database management (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and caching strategies (e.g., Redis).
