Job summary

ServiceNow seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) to own end-to-end AI-native solutions for customers, spanning backend services, LLM pipelines, and frontend integrations. You will work in agile sprints with field teams to deliver reference implementations that scale GenAI across industries.

You will operate in the field, collaborate with customers, and codify reusable assets to accelerate future engagements while shaping internal tooling and platform strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building systems in customer-facing or embedded roles.
• Experience in leveraging or integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
• System architecture: design and implement AI-native software in production environments.
• Engineering depth across backend, frontend, and APIs (Python/Node.js/Java; React/Angular; REST/GraphQL).
• DevOps fluency: CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code; travel up to 30% to embed onsite.

Responsibilities

• Build solution-ready LLM-enabled applications spanning backend logic, data orchestration, and front-end UI.
• Operate in the field with customers to adapt, deploy, and iterate in live environments.
• Codify reusable assets—libraries, prompts, scaffolds—to accelerate future engagements.
• Shape developer experience by sharing feedback with platform and product teams.
• Influence platform through field-tested insights and extensible code.
