Job summary

Osborne Recruitment is seeking a Financial Controller for a 15‑month fixed‑term contract in Dublin to lead end‑to‑end financial control for the group of companies. You will own month‑end reporting across 30+ entities, oversee year‑end audits, and manage tax compliance while supporting growth and new structures.

The role requires strong technical accounting skills (FRS 102, Irish law), as well as leadership of the AP function and a hands-on, deadline‑driven approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience managing a multi‑entity month end close.
• Experience taking a year end audit from trial balance to signed statutory accounts.
• Strong working knowledge of FRS 102 and Irish company law reporting.
• Practical experience of Irish tax compliance.
• Experience supervising or reviewing the work of a junior team member.
• Strong Excel skills; comfortable with large data sets.
• Available to commit to the full 15 month term.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the month end close across 30+ entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with schedules and commentary.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity: reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, WIP and cost capitalization.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany accounts; consolidate results and report to CFO/directors.
• Lead year end audit from close to signed statutory accounts; manage external auditors.
• Manage CRO filings and statutory deadlines across entities.
• Oversee year-end tax: corporation tax, VAT, RCT, PAYE/PRSI; coordinate with external advisors.
• Support new structures, due diligence, and lender reporting; enhance controls and systems.
