Job summary

Alliedtalent is partnering with a private equity-backed energy company in Ireland to recruit an ACA-qualified accountant for a 12-month maternity cover. You will join a lean finance team, working with the Finance Manager and Finance Director on daily operations and strategic projects.

You will handle month-end reporting, assist with audits, manage JV interactions, and support financial modelling for business development. A growth-oriented environment offers exposure to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified with 0–1 year PQE; Big 4 trained preferred.
• Proficient in Excel (financial modelling) and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to day-to-day finance activities with stakeholders and service providers.
• Produce monthly financial results and cash-flow analysis for monthly reporting.
• Assist during year-end audit and annual financial statements preparation.
• Support audits of joint ventures and interaction with external statutory auditors.
• Review and analyse operational reports with a financial focus.
• Oversee finance systems via outsourced provider, maintain records and asset registers.
• Assist in management and board reports/presentations.
• Support ad hoc business development work including due diligence and financial modelling.
