4-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Dublin | Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced International Senior Finance Manager to join an international finance team based in Dublin on a 4-month maternity cover contract.

Reporting into the International Finance leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing general ledger activities, reviewing journals and balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local financial reporting standards across multiple international markets.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, people management experience and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Working arrangements

The role offers flexible hybrid working, with an expectation of attending the Dublin office once per week for in-person collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Review general ledger activities and journals across multiple areas as part of the month-end close process for several international markets.
• Support the end-to-end financial management of an international legal entity.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and compliant.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies using a reconciliation management platform.
• Complete month-end close activities in accordance with internal controls and US GAAP reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present month-end variance analysis to senior finance leadership.
• Manage, coach and develop direct reports.
• Lead the end-to-end management of multiple local statutory audits across international entities, including review of statutory financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant local accounting and reporting requirements.

About you

You will ideally have:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• 8+ years of post-qualified experience.
• Experience working within an international or multi-entity environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including FRS 102, IFRS, US GAAP and SOX.
• Previous people management, coaching and development experience.
• Experience managing statutory audits and reviewing financial statements.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, combined with the ability to work independently and take ownership of decisions and deliverables.
• Experience with Oracle GL (R11/R12) would be advantageous but is not essential.
