Job summary

Planet seeks a strategic Finance Director to partner with ELT across planning, budgeting, and performance management. You will shape investment governance, drive cost discipline, and deliver robust financial insights to optimise resource allocation in a technology-led environment.

The role requires strong stakeholder influence and a proactive, data-driven approach. Based in Galway with a hybrid work model, you will lead FP&A, scenario planning, and post‑investment benefit tracking while ensuring

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong FP&A and commercial finance experience.
• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and drive decisions.
• Experience building business cases and financial models.
• Advanced Excel modelling and ERP system knowledge (Workday preferred).

Responsibilities

• Act as primary finance partner to ELT stakeholders and designated functions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Monitor Opex/Capex, headcount, and initiatives; deliver variance analysis.
• Develop business cases, evaluate investments, and track benefits.
• Lead workforce planning and organisational design discussions.
• Drive data, reporting, and automation improvements in FP&A tools.
• Maintain governance, policies, and strong financial controls.
