Job summary

TOM People is currently seeking an experienced FP&A Lead to partner with the senior leadership team in Dublin/Leinster. This high-impact role shapes financial strategy, drives performance, and builds a best-in-class FP&A function.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and KPI reporting, deliver insights to inform strategic decisions, and lead partnerships across finance and commercial teams. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 4+ years PQE and strong BI skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with min. 4 years PQE.
• Experience in FP&A and commercial finance.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning expertise.
• Advanced Excel with experience building and maintaining complex financial models.
• Experience using Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into clear commercial recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge at senior levels.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to executive teams
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the organisation’s long-term financial strategy and business plans.
• Develop, monitor, and report on key financial and operational KPIs aligned to strategic objectives.
• Provide insightful analysis of business performance, market trends, competitor activity, risks, and opportunities.
• Deliver timely financial and commercial insights to support decision-making by senior leadership.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast cycles across the organisation.
• Maintain and enhance financial models, ensuring accuracy, control, and robust documentation.
• Produce high-quality monthly and quarterly management reports, Board packs, and executive presentations.
• Monitor performance against budgets, forecasts, and strategic targets, highlighting key trends and recommended actions.
• Support cash flow forecasting, capital planning, scenario modelling, and stress testing activities.
• Partner across the business to transform complex data into actionable insights and dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, systems, processes, and data governance.
• Support the CFO with Board reporting, strategic projects, presentations, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Help establish best-practice FP&A processes, standards, and reporting capabilities across the finance function.
