Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training.
• 4-7 years of semiconductor or related capital equipment experience.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, electronics, thermodynamics or related technologies.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving in a customer-facing environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, qualify, and upgrade Applied Materials equipment at customer facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues using structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Support customers in achieving uptime, productivity, and process stability.
• Collaborate with Senior Customer Engineers and stakeholders to align with technology roadmaps and priorities.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Lead activities during install, startup, qualification, and ramp phases.
• Coach and mentor junior Customer Engineers to build technical capability.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and share best practices.
