Job summary

Lam Research in Ireland (Celbridge) is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our on-site team, delivering on-site repair, installation, and preventive maintenance for our semiconductor capital equipment. You will troubleshoot complex systems, perform diagnostics, and work with customers to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and quality.

You will travel across Europe as needed, collaborate with engineering and service groups, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent in Microelectronics or engineering.
• 5+ years of installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and manuals.
• Willingness to travel across Europe and work in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for Lam equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate issues to component level to minimize downtime.
• Stay current on Lam products and semiconductor capital equipment through training.
• Assist in field modifications and maintain documentation coordinating with customers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate clearly with customers.
