Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is representing a leading facilities management organisation in Cork. The Contract Manager will lead a defined FM contract, ensuring financial, operational, quality and safety commitments are met and exceeded.

You will oversee a team, manage relationships with the client and subcontractors, drive service excellence, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement across the contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of facilities management experience in Ireland.
• Engineering or facilities management background, ideally with mechanical or electrical knowledge.
• Strong experience managing client relationships, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proven experience managing contract finances, operational performance and service delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a detailed and methodical approach.
• Strong leadership, influencing and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and remain composed under pressure.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Customer-focused and collaborative approach.
• Flexibility to work outside core office hours and travel to other locations as required.
• Higher qualification such as HNC/HND/degree desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the contract team to deliver exceptional service and meet all contractual commitments.
• Manage contract financial performance, including revenue, profitability, cost reduction, debt, work in progress and contract growth.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for strategic development, additional services and business growth.
• Maintain strong relationships with key client contacts, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, QHSE standards, legislation and best practice.
• Oversee health and safety performance of employees, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure contract staffing with competent teams, workforce planning and succession plans.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development planning for employees.
• Collaborate with other operational managers to support the wider business.
• Contribute to sales activity, solutions development, client meetings and mobilization of new contracts.
• Deliver effective communication through meetings, briefings, reporting and client updates.
• Support continuous improvement and delivery of best practice across the contract.
