Job summary

Apto seeks an experienced Estimator to lead the European data centre estimating function, ensuring accurate cost estimates from due diligence to issued for construction. You will develop and maintain cost databases, drive value engineering, and present commercial options aligned with project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying or equivalent.
• 10+ years relevant estimating experience.
• Experience on large data centre projects across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating function for data centre projects across Europe.
• Develop and validate cost estimates from DD through IFC.
• Maintain cost databases, historical data, and inflation metrics.
• Lead value engineering with design/engineering teams.
• Develop and present cost plans, pricing proposals and commercial options.
• Support business plans and land acquisitions with finance and strategy teams.
• Present project funding requests to leadership.
• Review methodologies, estimates, forecasts, and external partner outputs.
• Evaluate tenders to ensure competitive pricing and alignment with scope.
• Lead selection and rollout of enterprise estimating software.
• Develop procedures to maintain high quality in Estimating Dept. documents.
