Job summary

Dexcom Ireland seeks an Engineering Technician to support equipment engineers in testing, validation and deployment of automated manufacturing equipment for Dexcom products. You will work from schematics, test electro-mechanical assemblies, and operate robotic and vision systems within a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires a qualified electrician with 6–8 years in manufacturing, strong communication, and technical writing, offering growth in a global CGM leader and a comprehensive

Qualifications

  • Must be a fully qualified electrician with experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
  • Ability to write routine reports, pass downs and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and managers.
  • Proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills.
  • Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Technical writing skills as applied to manufacturing documentation and process development - Experienced in the creation and revision of technical documentation

Responsibilities

  • You will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
  • You will test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test equipment
  • You will operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
  • You will analyze and record test results, and prepare written documentation
  • You will perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
  • You will carry out activities in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer.
  • These activities include the assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, completing engineering studies and validations.
  • You will follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag out (LOTO) program.
  • You will assume and perform other duties as assigned.
  • You will perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
  • You will update equipment related documentations (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.
