Job summary

E‑Frontiers in Ireland seeks a Senior Engineer to support a 180-unit residential development in North Dublin, with about 30 months remaining on the project. You will provide engineering support across the site, setting out and coordinating groundworks, drainage, roads and infrastructure, while reviewing drawings and liaising with PMs, site management and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and proven site experience as Site/Senior Engineer, with strong setting-out

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading developer on a major 180-unit residential development in North Dublin.

This is a long-term opportunity with approximately 30 months remaining on the project, offering the successful candidate the chance to play a key role throughout the delivery of the scheme.

The project will involve a significant amount of heavy civils and groundworks during the initial stages, before progressing into the main residential construction and finishing phases.

The Role

As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support across the project, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Management team, subcontractors and design teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating engineering activities across the development.
• Setting out and overseeing groundworks, drainage, roads and infrastructure during the civils phase.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
• Coordinating with subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Carrying out quality control and ensuring engineering standards are maintained.
• Managing and resolving technical issues on site.
• Working closely with the site management team to ensure programme and project milestones are achieved.
• Supporting the transition from the civils/groundworks phase into the residential construction phase.
• Maintaining accurate engineering records and documentation.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with company and project requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer / Senior Engineer within construction.
• Strong experience across groundworks, civils and residential construction.
• Excellent setting-out and technical engineering skills.
• Experience working on large-scale residential developments would be highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently while also being an effective member of the wider project team.
• A strong understanding of construction processes, quality and health & safety requirements.
