Responsibilities

The Role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading main contractor on a significant infrastructure project in County Wexford.

This role will suit a technically strong and motivated engineer with experience in managing site engineering activities, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with the project management and site teams, playing a key role in the planning, coordination and successful delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all site engineering activities, ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Set out works and oversee surveying activities, ensuring accuracy across all stages of construction.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and engineering information, resolving discrepancies as required.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and design consultants to ensure the smooth delivery of works.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and identify potential issues or delays.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant quality standards, health and safety regulations and environmental requirements.
• Carry out inspections and maintain accurate site records, quality documentation and as-built information.
• Assist with planning, sequencing and coordinating upcoming construction activities.
• Support the preparation and review of method statements, risk assessments and inspection and test plans.
• Liaise with the wider project team to resolve technical challenges and maintain project progress.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a Senior Engineer or similar site engineering role.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, setting out and engineering principles.
• Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to quality, health and safety and project delivery.
