Job summary

STRIVE Search's client, one of Ireland’s largest residential & commercial developers, is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to join the team in County Kildare. This role offers clear progression toward site management and long-term career growth.

You will review plans, oversee groundworks, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, manage safety and BCAR compliance, and ensure high quality on site. A Civil or Structural Engineering degree and proven site experience are required.

Qualifications

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree required.
• Proven site engineering experience with a leading developer or main contractor is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Irish building regulations and certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee and interpret design documents from client, architect or design team.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and on-site teams.
• Supervise and track progress of groundworks and civil contractors.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Manage and coordinate health and safety activities on site to ensure compliance.
• Oversee quality control and BCAR compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications
• Overseeing and interpreting design documents provided by the client, architect, or design team
• Coordinating and maintaining communication with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and on-site teams
• Supervising and tracking progress of groundworks and civil engineering contractors
• Identifying and resolving unforeseen technical issues or challenges that arise during construction
• Managing and coordinating all health and safety activities to ensure site compliance
• Overseeing quality control processes and ensuring adherence to BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations) requirements
• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline)
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally with a leading developer and/or main contractor
• Solid understanding of current Irish building regulations and certification standards
