Job description

Watt Footprint Is an Irish company with global ambitions and is already on course to become a key disruptor in the energy marketplace. The smart and unique skill set we bring to the market is our ability to offer businesses, both small and large, a complete energy management and savings solution - from initial feasibility assessments and energy audits, through securing grant approvals and delivering project upgrades, to the completion of measured and verified savings.

We’re looking for a Senior Energy Engineer with 5-7 years’ experience who is technically strong, commercially minded and enjoys being customer-facing. This is a role for someone who wants to do more than just energy studies - you’ll take ownership of client relationships, identify and develop new business opportunities, and support customers from the initial conversation right through to the delivery of energy efficiency projects.

You’ll work directly with customers to identify opportunities, develop energy solutions and present commercially compelling proposals. You’ll also play an important role in growing our client base through business development, networking, referrals and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across our wider service lines, from energy management software and audits to grant support and project delivery. You’ll also support and mentor more junior engineers as the team continues to grow.

If you’re technically excellent, commercially confident and enjoy building relationships and winning new business, we’d love to hear from you.

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally certified in IPMVP and/or CEM, with a proven track record in energy management and energy efficiency audits.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience developing proposals, financial justifications and identifying opportunities for clients.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong project management skills.
  • Proactive, self-driven and capable of working autonomously with strong initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to clients and stakeholders.
