Job summary

Watt Footprint, an Irish company with global ambitions, is seeking an Energy Engineer to support clients from feasibility to final delivery of energy efficiency projects in Ireland. You will lead audits, coordinate with contractors and develop financial justifications while working directly with customers across service lines.

The role emphasizes client management, strong communication, and leadership to mentor the next generation of engineers in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Energy, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years hands‑on experience in building services, M&V, or energy efficiency.
• IPMVP/CEM certification with proven energy management and audits.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong client management skills.
• Proactive, self‑driven and autonomous with initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in Office 365.
• Adaptable to a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Strong leadership and mentoring to develop future engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy audits and feasibility studies for clients (ESG, ISO 50001, and 14001).
• Coordinate with contractors for site visits and accurate quotations.
• Develop robust financial justifications and present proposals to clients.
• Engage directly with clients in meetings and manage stakeholder relationships.
