Job summary

Medtronic is seeking an experienced Senior Employee Relations Specialist to provide expert judgment and guidance on a broad range of employee relations matters. You will lead cases in a large unionized environment, influence managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance and diversity issues, and develop ER policies and training programs.

You will design proactive ER strategies, manage complex investigations, and contribute to HR policy updates while balancing risk and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR, law or related discipline.
• 4+ years of HR experience advising in a cross-functional setting.
• Deep understanding of Irish employment law and case management risks.
• Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on employee and labour relations to supervisors, managers and HR colleagues.
• Manage cases in a unionized environment with 3000+ employees, ensuring timely and impartial resolutions.
• Develop ER policies, trainings and communications; advise on policy revisions to improve ER management.
• Lead preparation for WRC/legal matters and support ER program implementation.
• Analyze ER data, identify trends and reduce ER issues through proactive strategies.
