Job summary

European Tech Recruit in Cork is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a global leader in wireless technology and 5G. You will work on Linux kernel drivers and embedded platform features powering devices across Mobile, IoT, Automotive and XR.

The role focuses on developing Linux kernel drivers, prototyping embedded software, and collaborating with hardware and software teams to deliver platform features. Strong C skills and ARM knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong C programming and data structures experience.
• Embedded systems and SoC development experience.
• ARM architecture knowledge (RISC-V knowledge is a bonus).
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Python, C++, Assembly or Perl experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Developing and prototyping Linux kernel drivers and embedded software.
• Designing, testing, and documenting device drivers for next-generation SoCs.
• Working across multiple hardware and software teams to deliver platform features.
• Debugging and optimising embedded systems performance.
• Contributing to cutting-edge technologies across Mobile, Compute, Automotive, IoT and XR platforms.
