Job summary

European Tech Recruit is assisting a Cork-based partner in recruiting a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to drive integration across SoC platforms, RTOS-based systems, and open-source components.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug, optimize build systems, and ensure power/performance KPIs are met on Core Platform software, with hands-on work in C/C++/assembly, Python, and Zephyr RTOS. This is a permanent onsite role.

Qualifications

• Experience in software integration, source control, and testing.
• Working knowledge of real-time operating systems.
• Strong development experience in C, C++, and assembly.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Experience with build systems (SCons, CMake) and source control (Git, Perforce) advantageous.
• Familiarity with JTAG debugging and Zephyr RTOS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact closely with cross-functional software teams to verify and debug software stability issues and features.
• Design and implement scalable build system software and tools to generate various image flavours.
• Collaborate with HW and Systems Engineering to ensure Core Platform software meets power and performance KPIs.
• Perform image and system-level sanity testing.
