Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer for an onsite role in Ireland with EU relocation offered. You will drive low-level firmware and kernel drivers at the HW/SW boundary, focusing on PCIe and CXL subsystems.

Qualifications

7+ years of embedded software, kernel driver development or firmware engineering.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, CS, EE or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with PCIe and CXL protocols is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, debug, and commercialize low-level embedded firmware and drivers for PCIe and CXL subsystems.
Write standards-compliant software and contribute to mainline Linux kernel drivers and embedded distributions.
Collaborate with hardware and system architects to drive HW/SW integration and future chipset architecture.
Optimize embedded software for throughput, latency, and power across real-time and Linux platforms.
Lead cross-functional debugging and technical discussions to resolve hardware-software interaction issues.
