Job summary

MSD Ireland in Dundalk is seeking a Senior Specialist – Electrical Engineering to provide technical leadership for critical electrical systems and infrastructure within a regulated vaccines manufacturing site.

You will drive reliability initiatives, lead upgrade projects, manage risks, and collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, and external partners to shape the site’s electrical strategy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience with electrical systems and infrastructure in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience leading engineering projects and change controls in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical reliability and asset improvement initiatives across the site.
• Drive infrastructure upgrade projects from concept through implementation and handover.
• Provide technical leadership on electrical systems, infrastructure risks, and regulatory compliance.
• Support electrical safety programmes and ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks to critical electrical assets and utilities.
• Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and change control activities.
