Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Dundalk is seeking a Senior Specialist – Electrical Engineering to lead reliability and infrastructure improvements for a vaccines manufacturing site.

The role requires technical leadership across electrical systems, supplier management, and compliance with GMP and regulatory standards. You will drive risk-based improvement roadmaps, support sustainability initiatives, and coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Quality teams to ensure site reliability

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is essential.
• Strong knowledge of electrical reliability and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical reliability and asset improvement initiatives across the site.
• Drive infrastructure upgrade projects from concept through implementation and handover.
• Provide technical leadership on electrical systems, risks, and compliance requirements.
• Support electrical safety programmes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks with critical electrical assets and utilities.
• Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and change control activities.
