Stem Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Projects Engineer in Ireland for an established electrical engineering business. The role blends site-based project delivery with hybrid home-working, with ~40-50% on client sites across Leinster and Midlands and remaining time on design, planning and admin.

You will lead projects through full lifecycle, coordinate engineering and field teams, review drawings and specs, and ensure successful commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years' electrical engineering experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing or utilities.
• 3+ years' electrical project engineering/management experience.
• Electrical design experience is essential.
• Strong LV electrical knowledge and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience with full project lifecycle and on large industrial sites.
• Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical projects through the full lifecycle from scope to handover.
• Coordinate engineering, workshop, field service and delivery teams.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and panel designs.
• Provide electrical applications support and practical engineering solutions.
• Manage customer relationships, timelines, technical issues and delivery expectations.
• Support site surveys, technical assessments, FAT/SAT and commissioning planning.
• Work closely with the Managing Director and experienced engineering team.

I'm recruiting a Senior Electrical Projects Engineer for an established Irish electrical engineering business entering an exciting phase of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong, customer-focused engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, solving engineering challenges and getting out on site. You'll manage electrical projects from initial enquiry, site survey and design through to build, commissioning and final handover. With approximately 40-50% of your week spent on customer sites and the remainder largely working from home, there's plenty of variety.

My client is a respected electrical engineering and technical services business supporting major manufacturing, pharmaceutical, utilities, water/wastewater and critical infrastructure customers across Ireland. Specialising in LV/MV electrical systems, Variable Speed Drives, motor control, Power Quality and electrical panel solutions, the company offers excellent technical expertise and genuine career progression.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing electrical projects through the full project lifecycle, from initial scope and design to commissioning and handover
• Coordinating engineering, workshop, field service and project delivery teams
• Reviewing electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, panel designs and technical specifications
• Providing electrical applications support and practical engineering solutions
• Managing customer relationships, project timelines, technical issues and delivery expectations
• Supporting site surveys, technical assessments, FAT/SAT activities and commissioning planning
• Working closely with the Managing Director and experienced engineering team

What You’ll Need

• Approximately 3-10 years' electrical engineering experience, ideally in industrial, manufacturing or utilities environments
• Ideally 3+ years' electrical project engineering/project management experience
• Electrical design experience is essential
• Strong LV electrical knowledge and ability to interpret drawings and specifications
• Proven full project lifecycle experience
• Experience working on large industrial or multinational sites
• Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Level 8 Electrical Engineering qualification preferred, although equivalent relevant experience will be considered
• Full, clean Irish driving licence

Experience with MV systems, VSDs, motor control, electrical panels, Power Quality or industrial controls would be a distinct advantage. Pharmaceutical, water/wastewater, data centre and complex retrofit experience is also desirable.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must live within commuting distance of the Westmeath office (or be willing to relocate), hold a full, valid Irish driving licence, have Stamp 4 permission or EU citizenship, and have proven Irish industry experience.
