Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is partnering with a Galway-based client to hire an EHS Manager on a permanent basis. You will lead the EHS strategy across multiple sites, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance including GMP standards.

The role focuses on developing the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, leading risk management and incident investigations, and mentoring a team of EHS professionals to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing (GMP) environment.
• Experienced People Manager capable of developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS strategy and continuous improvement programme.
• Ensure EHS compliance across multiple sites, including audits and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Lead risk management activities, identifying hazards and implementing effective controls.
• Lead team of EHS specialists ensuring ongoing growth and development of team members.
• Oversee Occupational Health, employee wellbeing and workplace ergonomics.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response programmes.
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
