Cpl Group in Ireland is seeking a Senior Director of Global Supply Chain for a startup U.S. Biotech portfolio.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across end-to-end supply planning, inventory, packaging, warehousing, logistics and distribution, ensuring uninterrupted supply in line with GMP, GDP and global regulatory standards. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field.
• 12+ years’ progressive pharmaceutical or biotech supply chain leadership across clinical and commercial operations.
• Proven leadership of packaging, labelling, warehousing, logistics and distribution, including product launches and post-launch supply.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, FDA, EMA, ICH and global regulations.
• Extensive experience managing CDMOs, 3PLs and external partners; import/export and temperature-controlled distribution experience.
• Experience with supply planning, S&OP, and ERP/planning systems.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute the global supply chain strategy supporting launches, commercial operations and clinical development.
• Lead demand, inventory and supply planning, and contribute to S&OP processes.
• Lead internal and external packaging and labelling, including artwork, serialisation and change management.
• Direct global logistics and distribution, including temperature-controlled transport, import/export and GDP/IATA compliance.
• Oversee GMP-compliant warehousing and inventory control across sites, 3PLs and depots.
• Select, qualify and manage CDMOs, packaging vendors, 3PLs, depots and freight partners, including contract negotiation and vendor scorecards.
• Maintain inspection-ready systems and own supply chain SOPs; partner with QA on deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
• Manage budgets, drive cost optimisation, KPI-led performance and digital transformation.
• Lead the transition of clinical supply responsibility from Tech Ops to Supply Chain in 2028, including depot management and clinical traceability.
• Drive supply chain risk management, business continuity and network resilience.

Senior Director, Global Supply Chain –Start Up U.S. Biotech

Ireland | Reports to: Managing Director

The Role

Provide strategic and operational leadership for all clinical and commercial supply chain activities across a development and commercial biotech portfolio. You will own end-to-end supply planning, inventory management, packaging and labelling, warehousing, global logistics and distribution, ensuring uninterrupted supply from early development through commercialisation in line with GMP, GDP and global regulatory requirements.

You will lead the supply chain function in a Virtual manufacturing environment, working closely with Tech Ops, MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field; advanced degree (PharmD, MS, PhD, MBA) preferred
• 12+ years’ progressive pharmaceutical or biotech supply chain leadership across clinical and commercial operations
• Proven leadership of packaging, labelling, warehousing, logistics and distribution, including product launches and post-launch supply
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, FDA, EMA, ICH and global regulations
• Extensive experience managing CDMOs, 3PLs and external partners; import/export and temperature-controlled distribution experience
• Experience with supply planning, S&OP, and ERP/planning systems
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong executive communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
