Job summary

Pfizer in Ireland is seeking a Senior Director to lead and connect strategic technology initiatives across Pfizer’s eight Digital Core Platforms. This leader will oversee Senior Technical Architects and ensure ELT-level AI programs are coordinated into a coherent, enterprise-wide strategy across the platform landscape.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to orchestrate multiple programs, drive reuse, and align platforms for faster, safer, and more

Qualifications

• 12+ years of leadership in technology strategy, architecture, or large-scale program delivery.
• Experience leading technology strategy for multiple initiatives and aligning them coherently.
• Proven ability to develop senior technical talent including architects and engineers.
• Experience advising senior leaders on direction, priorities, and measurable business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of modern engineering practices, cloud, data integration, AI-enabled delivery, security, reliability, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the connected technology strategy across strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with eight Digital Core Platforms.
• Lead ELT-level AI programs with clear owners, models, and measurable outcomes.
• Oversee a team of Senior Technical Architects and maintain architecture quality and standards across the portfolio.
• Define how AI, automation, and modern engineering practices are applied to accelerate delivery while ensuring governance.
