Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist for Belfast with a strong technical background in large multi-disciplinary design projects, preferably data centres. You will collaborate across architectural and engineering teams, manage design delivery to tight timelines, and uphold AECOM's Technical Excellence standards.

The role offers hybrid work options and requires travel across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

Qualifications

Fully Qualified Architect or Technologist with proven experience on large multi-disciplinary design projects, preferably Data Centres.
Willingness to work across Data Centre, Nuclear, Transport, Rail, Aviation, Education, Health Care, Laboratory, Science, and Logistics.
Degree qualification, preferably with Diploma or Masters; IT literate with Microsoft Office Suite.
Some experience of various forms of building contracts is helpful.
Understanding of UK Building Systems, Standards and Regulations and construction types.
IT literate, with knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office, ability to manage a busy workload.
Clear work history and evidence of professional development.

Responsibilities

Senior Architect/Designer on a portfolio of projects across multi-disciplinary design teams.
Coordinate design across architecture and engineering teams, align with discipline leads.
Ensure governance during bid and delivery stages; present to clients.
Ensure CDM Safety in Design principles are applied across design stages.
Manage interface between Design Team and Site Team to provide timely design support.
Support Associate Directors/Directors with technical excellence initiatives and resource management.
