Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Architect to lead multi-disciplinary design teams on data centre and infrastructure projects from our Belfast hub. The role involves coordinating design information through RIBA stages, managing complex packages, and ensuring quality standards across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong CSA bias, experience in design management, and the ability to work with global and local teams, with travel across UK, Ireland and Europe.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Architect with ARB registration and proven experience on large multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience coordinating across architectural and engineering teams in infrastructure design.
• Strong design management skills and ability to meet demanding deadlines with digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead designer within a multi-discipline team.
• Coordinate design across architectural and engineering teams with discipline leads.
• Ensure governance at bid stage and during delivery of projects.
• Present to clients and prospective clients.
• Support fee proposals, bids, and monitor hours expended.
• Mentor junior team members and lead design delivery.
