Kraken is seeking an experienced EU/UK Labor & Employment attorney to join its in-house team. This senior role, based remotely in the EU or UK, will advise on local-law matters, governance, and compliance for a rapidly growing global workforce.

You will lead worker classification, wage-and-hour issues, data privacy compliance, and employee relations while supporting M&A due diligence, policy localization, and training. A background with works councils and cross-border matters is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of EU/UK employment, labor, and executive compensation law experience (in-house and/or law firm)
• Broad international labor and employment background
• Experience advising on works councils, collective consultation, and employee representation in EU/UK
• Experience with GDPR/UK GDPR data privacy issues
• Hands-on proficiency using generative AI tools in day-to-day legal work with strict confidentiality and data protection
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to drive legal support to enable growth

Responsabilités

• Augment the Labor & Employment team as the EU/UK SME for local-law advice in European time zones
• Lead recurring EU/UK employment matters including worker classification and wage-and-hour issues
• Collaborate with PX and leadership to grow the L&E practice for a global workforce
• Advise on works councils, collective consultation, pay transparency, and employee representation
• Support M&A due diligence and post-closing workforce integration in Europe
• Localize global policies for EU/UK and deliver related training
• Advise on GDPR/UK GDPR compliance and cross-border data transfers
• Lead workplace investigations in EU/UK as needed
• Provide strategic input on global expansion, mobility, and employment structure
• Mitigate risks around trade secrets and restrictive covenants in EU/UK
• Direct local outside counsel for opinions and pre-litigation matters
• Monitor global L&E trends to inform policy and processes
