Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a qualified Cost Manager to join our Dublin team. You will deliver expert cost consultancy and project support for construction projects from concept to completion, including estimates, procurement advice, and post-contract administration.

You may work independently or lead a team depending on project size and scope. You will collaborate with diverse clients and internal teams to provide value, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and prepare cost estimates across all stages of design and construction.
• Provide procurement advice, contractor tender analysis, and recommendation reports.
• Lead and manage client accounts, including attending key meetings and providing strategic input.
• Review contracts and participate in contract negotiations.
• Evaluate change orders and contractor pricing throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contract administration activities and support construction phase cost controls.
• Deliver continuous cost management services, including value engineering and cashflow forecasting.
• Prepare and review project plans, fee proposals, and internal resourcing plans.
• Support senior management with client reporting, performance tracking, and commercial input.
• Mentor and develop junior cost consultants and commercial managers within the team.
• Represent Cumming Group at industry events, with a focus on business development and network building.
