Design Build Search are working with a global real estate company on an opportunity for a Senior Cost Manager. The successful applicant will lead cost management on live office fit-out projects and contribute to the strategic growth of the business from Ireland.

The role requires a quantity surveying degree, 7+ years of cost proposal experience, and strong Excel/Office skills to deliver accurate budget tracking and tender analysis. Dublin-based with Irish regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience of developing project cost proposals for multiple construction projects simultaneously for large corporate clients.
• Experience of project cost proposal development and cost management for projects with a technical engineering content is a distinct advantage.
• Experience of project cost proposal development and cost management for projects in a large semiconductor manufacturing environment is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple work assignments simultaneously, manage multiple or conflicting priorities, and handle a high-pressure working environment.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent numerical, commercial, and financial acumen.
• Strong written and verbal English language skills
• Advanced Excel skills with good Word & PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.

This position is a key hire, and the successful applicant will be involved in the strategic growth of the business.

Cost Management Delivery

• Lead cost management on office fit-out projects from start to finish
• Prepare cost plans, track budgets, and find ways to save money without cutting quality
• Run tender processes – prepare documents, analyse bids, and help select contractors
• Report costs clearly to clients and manage changes to budgets
• Handle final accounts and close out projects properly
• Make sure we meet JLL standards and Irish regulations

Additional:

• Assist in setting up clear processes and templates for the Irish cost management team
• Assist in the develop new services like reinstatement cost assessments, lifecycle costing, carbon accounting, feasibility studies, and sustainability cost advice
• Work with our UK cost management colleagues to learn from their experience and share best practices
• Help train and develop other team members in cost management
