Job summary

Leonard Steel Ltd. seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to lead our site teams and manage steel erection projects. You will supervise foremen, erectors and subcontractors, drive procurement decisions, and protect project cost and schedule through rigorous risk and record-keeping practices.

Applicants should have 3+ years in structural steel contracts, strong communication, and the ability to read technical drawings. Familiarity with StruMIS/AutoCAD/Tekla is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ site experience with structural steel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external partners.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and drawings.
• Knowledge of construction software StruMIS, AutoCAD, Trimble Connect, Tekla.
• Experience in steelwork contracts, preferably for a steelwork fabricator.
• Experience in high rise contracts in industrial/commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise site foremen, steel erectors and subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and on-site progress.
• Ensure compliance with quality and health & safety standards.
• Update management on site progress and commercial issues.
• Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Maintain robust site records for labour, plant, materials, and costs.
• Prepare monthly variations and additions with contract alignment.
• Assist in project final accounts and participate in site meetings.
