TLI Group is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across the full lifecycle of construction, engineering, utilities and commercial contracts. The role strengthens governance, enterprise risk management and decision-making while partnering with operations, finance, procurement and HR.

Qualificações

• Qualified solicitor or barrister entitled to practice in Ireland.
• 5+ years post-qualification experience in construction, infrastructure or complex commercial contracting.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex customer, supplier, subcontractor and consultancy agreements.
• Ability to assess and explain material legal and commercial risk and establish proportionate controls.
• Excellent judgement, drafting, communication, prioritisation and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the review, drafting and negotiation of construction, engineering and commercial contracts, including EPC, design-and-build and subcontracts.
• Advise on standard and bespoke forms of contract, including FIDIC, NEC and Irish public works contracts.
• Provide clear advice on liability, indemnities, warranties, payment, termination, IP and dispute mechanisms.
• Lead legal input to tenders, pre-contract reviews, contract approvals and negotiations with risks visible to decision-makers.
• Support contract administration, variations, claims, extensions of time and dispute resolution.
• Own and improve the legal risk framework, including escalation routes and approval standards.
• Coordinate external advisers, manage budgets and ensure proportionate use of external work.
• Advise on employment matters, company law, governance and strategic projects as required.
• Lead or coordinate disputes from early assessment through negotiation, mediation, adjudication or litigation.
