Job summary

Kerry Parents and Friends Association in Killarney is seeking a Senior Community Access Facilitator to provide day-to-day leadership within our Adult Disability Day Services. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will guide staff, coordinate service delivery and support individual outcomes.

You will lead person-centred planning, promote inclusion and a human rights based approach, and work with families and partners to achieve positive outcomes while safeguarding and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification at Level 7 or higher in a relevant field (Social Care, Applied Social Studies, Disability Studies, Community Development, Health, Education, Psychology, Social Sciences).
• Minimum three years post-qualification experience supporting adults with disabilities, including coordinating supports or mentoring staff.
• Experience working in community, social, or work-based support settings, or in roles aligned with this duty.
• Experience of Person Centred Planning, quality assurance processes, safeguarding practices and risk management.
• Ability to lead service improvement initiatives and support teams in delivering quality outcomes.
• Applicants must have the necessary authorisation to work in Ireland and will provide supporting documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring and first-line operational support to staff.
• Coordinate the effective day-to-day delivery of the service, including staffing and resources.
• Lead and monitor person-centred planning with progress and outcomes.
• Work with adults with disabilities to promote choice, independence, and active participation in the community.
• Support development of creative opportunities in education, employment, social participation and inclusion.
• Collaborate with individuals, families, circles of support, multidisciplinary teams and partners to achieve positive outcomes.
• Promote safeguarding, risk management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Exercise delegated operational responsibility during periods of management absence.
