Job summary

Kerry Parents and Friends Association is recruiting a part-time Support Worker for Tralee Day Services. The role involves empowering adults with intellectual disabilities, planning goals, and delivering holistic care in a community setting.

You will work 18.5 hours weekly, with duties including documentation, life skills coaching, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and independence for individuals in the service.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is required or equivalent.
• Applications from those who have completed at least 1 year of Nursing or Social Care degree will be considered.
• A passion for promoting and empowering those you support.

Responsibilities

• Plan and set meaningful goals addressing personal, social, recreational, and living needs.
• Provide physical, emotional, psychological and healthcare support.
• Maintain accurate records and relevant reports.
• Teach life skills and promote independence.
