Kerry Parents and Friends Association in Tralee, Co Kerry, is recruiting a part-time Support Worker for 18.5 hours per week. The role focuses on empowering adults with intellectual disabilities, supporting personal goals, daily living, and community participation.

You will work within a person-centred framework, maintain records, and coordinate with healthcare professionals. A QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent, and a driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent required.
• Applications will be considered from candidates who have completed at least 1 year of Nursing or Social Care degree.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals by planning goals addressing personal, social, and living needs.
• Support with daily living, health care, and documentation; promote dignity and independence.
• Develop life skills through activities to foster budgeting, cooking, communication, and time management.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and review care plans; ensure record-keeping meets standards.
