Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Commercial Manager for a leading Irish main contractor in Dublin. You will lead the commercial management of multiple projects from pre-construction through final account, ensuring strong commercial performance and effective contract administration.

The role requires a Quantity Surveying degree and proven main contractor experience, with strong leadership, negotiation and financial skills.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Proven experience as Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration.
• Experience managing multiple construction projects.
• Excellent commercial, financial and contractual management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of multiple construction projects.
• Manage contracts, commercial risk, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cash flow and monthly commercial reporting.
• Drive cost control initiatives and maximise project profitability.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support procurement activities and subcontractor management.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop Quantity Surveyors and junior commercial staff.
• Provide commercial reporting and strategic insight to senior management.
