Sigmar Recruitment has partnered with a growing Irish construction contractor to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager. This role centers on full commercial control of projects from pre-construction through completion, driving budgets, forecasts and cost reporting with close collaboration to delivery teams.

You will own procurement, subcontractor contracts and final accounts, proactively manage risks and opportunities, and mentor junior members of the team within a structured commercial

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
• 7+ years' experience in the construction industry.
• Strong main contractor experience.
• Proven experience managing the commercial performance of projects.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently within a wider project team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial management of projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Own project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost reporting.
• Manage procurement and subcontractor packages and related agreements.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts.
• Handle variations, valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and inform decisions.
• Prepare and review monthly cost/value reports.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Contracts Managers and site teams to meet commercial objectives.
• Support senior management with commercial strategy and decision-making.
