Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main building contractor in Dublin. You will manage commercial aspects from procurement through final accounts, working with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, experience with a main contractor, strong commercial awareness, and excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor, developer, or consultancy.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and cost management principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Preparing and evaluating subcontractor packages and procurement schedules.
• Assessing and processing subcontractor payments.
• Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Monitoring project expenditure and reporting on commercial performance.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Collaborating with site and project management teams to achieve project objectives.
